Notice of Changes

You will notice that some of my albums are "empty" on my Facebook page and that some pages and pictures are missing on here and on Fibro, Fit and Fab!. Don't worry - they won't stay that way. :) In light of some recent events, I've had to watermark my photos and designed images. Until that is done and I get a chance to upload them, my FREE Fibro Banners and Badges and Inspirational Designs {By Me} pages will be down on Fibro, Fit and Fab!, and the albums under the same (or almost the same) names on my Facebook page will be empty, and pictures will be deleted and watermarked at various times for as long as it takes to get that done. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. Thank you for understanding! In the mean time, if there is an image you would like that you saw or have an idea for a new one, feel free to email me or leave me a comment, and I'll do what I can to get one to you. :)

NOTICE

At the time of publication, all recipes were free of the allergens listed as being free of in the title (i.e. soy-free, milk-free, etc.), and all other information shared was accurate to the best of my knowledge. Though I strive to update outdated information quickly and work diligently to make sure you have the most accurate information possible at all times, it is your duty to double check labels EVERY TIME to ensure that the ingredients you use are SAFE FOR YOU. DO NOT RELY SOLELY ON THIS INFORMATION AS INGREDIENTS AND INFORMATION DO CHANGE. Your doctor or allergist should also be your first go-to for information on how to handle your medical needs. That being said, if you DO notice an error, please send me an email letting me know (tell me what page or recipe the error is on, what the error is, etc.), and I will correct the error ASAP. Thank you so much!

Alternative Names for Fish, Seafood and Shellfish and Helpful Links

Note:
This content was accurate at the time of posting, but it is possible that it is outdated at the time of your viewing.  Please, do NOT let this information replace the advice of your doctor/allergist.  ALWAYS follow their instructions and recommendations over mine.

Also,
CHECK LABELS EVERY TIME, EVEN IF YOU'VE BOUGHT A PRODUCT A MILLION TIMES BEFORE!

Ingredients change often, companies change hands, and policies change.  What once was safe, can now be unsafe.  For your own health and safety, please make it a habit of ALWAYS reading the ingredients of EVERYTHING before you buy it.

Also, if you notice that I have a product listed as "safe" for your particular allergen/sensitivity needs, PLEASE let me know so that I can update my information.  I strive to keep things current, but I do miss things from time to time.  Your help in this matter is invaluable to provide the most current information to my readers.

Thank you so much!

As with all food allergens, check EVERY label, EVERY time, EVEN IN NON-FOODS!!  Fish, seafood and shellfish are not generally used in non-food items other than vitamins or some dies, but it is always better to be safe than sorry!

This is by no means an all-inclusive list.  I am sure I have forgotten some fish, seafood or shellfish names, but this is a good start.  For more information, you can Google "names for fish", "names for seafood", "names for shellfish", "products containing fish", etc.  If you come across a less than common name for fish, seafood or shellfish, please email me or comment below so that I can add it.  Thank you!

*Note: I have labeled all alternative names with the common name in parentheses (when possible), such as (shrimp)(fish), (seafood), etc., so that if you are not allergic to say, fish, you know that this name should be safe for you to consume/use, though I recommend checking labels for allergens on ALL things just to be safe.  Also, talk with  your allergist to see if you should avoid any of these ingredients.  Some allergists recommend that you avoid all forms of seafood, fish and shellfish if you are allergic to one due to the cross-contamination issues.

**These items do not always contain fish, seafood or shellfish.
