Please note that all recipes used will be in some way allergy friendly and tried by me before I post them.  I would prefer the recipes to be those a beginner can make, but harder recipes that are "to die for" are welcome, too. :)  If I don't post your recipe, please, please do not take it personally.  Also, there is only so much time in the day, so please allow adequate time for me to make the recipes first (a month or so).  Thanks. :)

Also, when submitting a recipe, please indicate how you would like to recieve credit for your recipes, whether it be anonymous, anonymous by state, by name or by email address, in honor/memory of someone - whatever way you wish to be recognized for your contribution, let me know! :)  I feel that giving credit where credit is due is very important.

Requesting A Recipe:
Is there a particular recipe you're looking for?  Do you need a particular allergy need met and are having trouble finding recipes that fulfill this?  I can help, or at least I will try to. :)

  1. Any way you could do a soy-free version of enchiladas? We'd really appreciate it! BTW, the pie crust was amazing!

    1. I'm glad you liked the pie crust. :)

Hmm...I'll have to do some research on the enchiladas. I think it's possible, but it may take me awhile. I'll see what I can do. :) Are you looking for chicken, beef or doesn't it matter?

I have a recipe for a Chicken Enchilada Soup and a Chicken Enchilada Lasagna, if you want to check those out in the meantime. :)

  2. I was looking into chicken enchiladas. We may end up trying the chicken enchilada soup, although it's nearly impossible to get my husband to eat any type of soup. What about pot roast or beef stew?

    1. I am still working on the enchiladas. I have found some enchilada sauce recipes that I need to check out. I already have a recipe for the tortillas that I will be posting soon, it's just the rest of the ingredients that I've got to figure out. :)

I actually do have a pot roast recipe that I need to get written down and on here that I believe is soy-free. I'm not sure when I'll get to it, but I'll put it on the beginning of my "To Do" list. :)

Beef stew...hmm...I will have to give that some thought.

You are definitely keeping me busy! LOL :)

In the mean time, this info might help you with the enchiladas.
Here's a link to the tortilla recipe I'm going to use, just make sure to use olive or canola oil: http://baptistmissionarywomen.blogspot.com/2012/09/tortillas.html

And here are some links to enchilada sauce recipes that may help you, just make sure you use olive or canola oil and soy-free flour, etc.:

Here are some enchilada recipes, too, that you can modify using the tortilla recipe and the homemade enchilada sauce (and just make sure you use soy-free versions of oil, sour cream, etc.):

  3. Thanks, Julie for your research! You've given us a great starting point! LOL at keeping you busy...this is just the site I feel gives me the best recommendations of ingredients to use considering we are soy-free. Ever since discovering your blog, we have had a wider array of food choices to choose from:) Thank you very much for all that you do!

    1. :) I don't mind the busy-ness, believe me. I wish I was able to research quicker, but sometimes it just isn't possible. There just aren't enough hours in the day, especially with 3 kiddos!

I'm glad you find me a trusted source and help. That means more than you know. It thrills my heart to know that I'm making a difference. :)

You'll have to let me know if any of those recipes work out for you!

  4. Hi! I just stumbled across this site today and saw your list of soy products. I think it's possible that the allergies so many people are experiencing to soy and other foods is due to genetic modification of these crops. Soy & corn are the two major crops which have been all but taken over by chemical companies such as Monsanto who are modifying the genetic structure of these crops to either withstand more & more potent applications of their pesticide Roundup or to produce their own pesticides from within the plant itself. Have you tried non-GMO soy or looked into this topic yet? Thank you for this website - it looks like you are really pouring heart & soul into helping others. God bless you!!

    1. I agree that quite a few allergies (food and otherwise) are due to GMOs, but not 100%. I know some people with soy sensitivities are able to do non-GMO soy with success, but I know that even that is not 100% across the board. I would not recommend someone with a soy allergy try non-GMO soy without express permission from their allergist.

I personally have not purposely tried non-GMO soy to see if I can eat it without trouble or not because of how soy (non-GMO or otherwise) messes with hormones. With my Hashimoto's and how soy makes my Fibromyalgia act, I try to avoid all types. I just think soy is not for me no matter what form it is in, and I believe it isn't for anyone truthfully, but that's another story entirely.

Slightly off topic, I think everyone could benefit from a diet in as little in GMO foods as possible. I know I do better with food that is non-GMO, and when I can afford to buy it and can find it, that's what I go for. I feel better and seem to process it better when I go non-GMO.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, and for your compliments! :)

  5. Do you have a good cake recipe using coconut flour instead of wheat, carob instead of chocolate and stevia instead of sugar. My daughter has to be on a low carb and low sugar diet and I would like to make her a treat.

    1. I do not, BUT I did look for a recipe that might fit your needs. Here is one that looked promising: http://www.oatmealwithafork.com/2015/05/01/flourless-sugar-free-carob-cake-with-fudge-frosting-paleo-video/ You can find more ideas here: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=low%20sugar%20carob%20cake%20made%20with%20coconut%20flour
